KNOW THE RISKS:  STROKE AND WOMEN'S HEALTH

One in Five women will have a stroke in their lifetime.  Stroke is the third cause of death in women and claims more lives than it does in men.  Women face unique risk factors, including pregnancy, menopause and racial or ethnic disparities.

In observance of National Stroke Awareness Month, we will explore the unique stroke risk factors that affect women, warning signs and symptoms every woman should know, and steps you can take to help prevent stroke.
